Agreed, quite witty.
Here's a question open to all:
Who's your favourite D&D Character?
If you were to be one, which would you be?
Why? |

I know which one I wouldn't be: a magic-user. Under the original D&D Basic Set rules, a level 1 magic user got 1d4 hit points. One-dee-f***ing-four! You could die by stubbing your toe really hard. Also, you got one level one spell per day, and literally everybody took Magic Missile. Every time. Which you could cast once. Fun.
Those were the days. |

I think the idea was the MU starts off very weak but is balanced by great power later in life. I did like the MU characters. The illusionists were interesting but I was more into the spells that burn and kill. |

In the AD&D, once you attained a level, I think it was level 7 but it's a more than a few years now, you could change your shape 3 times a day to a mammal, bird or reptile-there was also some healing of H.P. involved.
When I was 12, we would have a lot of "party conflicts" turning on one another-and we were usually at levels 3-5. What worked best being a druid was casting the "Heat Metal" as most dudes [we were new to the game] wanted to be fighters. Once that spell had run it's course, I'd have the opposite, 'Chill Metal'-killed them off every time.
Elven assassins were a cool but distant second, because elves were always good, and you could always walk silently-of course, elves were poofters.

| I wouldn't mind playing a game for old time sake. The only problem is that no one will play with me since I got a Ring of DM Control. |
