Im moving to Seoul this month and know next to nothing about this whole region of the world (...learning more every day.)

anyway, what are the top can't-miss places someone who has never been anywhere should go to that are somewhat easy to get at from Seoul?

I am looking for "adventurous" type of travel, although I must admit I am partial to warm weather, beaches, drinking and nightlife.

any and all suggestions will be most appreciated.

Thailand, Bali and The Philippines for tropical, cheap vacations (after you pay the BS rates it cost to fly there from Korea). I'd say Vietnam, but they are thieving crooks to tourists. My friends say Cambodia is excellent.

Tokyo (and other Japanese cities), Beijing, Hong Kong, you know, the big names.

Just my recommendations.

Do what you want to do and what your interested in or takes your fancy. Don't travel somewhere because someone tells you to. If you like history go to where there are good historical sights, if you like beaches goto where there are nice beaches etc. Don't just tick stuff off a list because you think you should.
