Out of curiosity, I wonder if there was EVERY a fleeting thought that "zionist" were infact doing what they could to rescue/save as many Jews as they could; Deals with the Devil, as it were.
Perhaps it wasn't about rescuing the state of Israel but about actually rescuing, you know, people (or "Humans"). |

Semitic
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In linguistics and ethnology, Semitic (from the Biblical "Shem", Hebrew: שם, translated as "name", Arabic: ساميّ) was first used to refer to a language family of largely Middle Eastern origin, now called the Semitic languages. This family includes the ancient and modern forms of Amharic, Arabic, Aramaic, Akkadian, Ge'ez, Hebrew, Phoenician, Maltese, Tigre and Tigrinya among others.
As language studies are interwoven with cultural studies, the term also came to describe the extended cultures and ethnicities, as well as the history of these varied peoples as associated by close geographic and linguistic distribution.
The late 19th century term "anti-Semitism" refers specifically to "hostility" ... toward ... "Jews" ...
further complicating the understood meaning and boundaries of the term. |

n.b. anti = BAD, pro = GOOD
-ism = worldview or ideology
Truth be known:
The majority of modern-day Israel's population, Khazars ( i.e. ASHKE-NAZIS ) are non-semitic.
They are in fact believed to be of Turkish-Mongol origins.
Moreover, their ancestors converted to Judaism ( the religion ) circa. 9th century. It is believed this was done largely for political, strategic reasons.
Before this they were avowedly .... MUSLIM
Attacking, killing, "criticizing", "discriminating" against ARABS etc is thus far more anti-"semitic" than when an Israeli suffers the same.

My humble take on things is that Europe's "assimilationist" jews were ritually sacrificed in order to bring about major dialectical change.
Either way, clearly major cross-party criminal collusion

So that explains your confusion.
If the term was coined in the 1800s, people have had 200 years to get over the change and move along with progress. It's now common parlance. Gripping to this buoy is a pointless
And if you read on:

The word "Semitic" is an adjective derived from Shem, one of the three sons of Noah in the Bible (Genesis 5.32, 6.10, 10.21), or more precisely from the Greek derivative of that name, namely Σημ (Sēm); the noun form referring to a person is Semite. In modern English the negative form of the adjective, anti-Semitic, is almost always used to mean "anti-Jewish" specifically.
The concept of "Semitic" peoples is derived from Biblical accounts of the origins of the cultures known to the ancient Hebrews. Those closest to them in culture and language were generally deemed to be descended from their forefather Shem. |

I kinda understand why you are so upset. I'm really angry that gays took the word "queer" and turned it into meaning "homosexual". I'm also angry they took the word "gay" and made it mean "homosexual".
Everyone knows that "queer" means "odd" and "gay" means "happy". I'm on my own personal crusade to take the word "Queer" back from the gays.
Tell me how much success you have in trying to convert the English speaking masses and the 200ish years of history surrounding the use of the "Semitic". If you have success with that, I feel pretty confident I can take the word "queer" back too. Of course, if you succeed against, well, the unstoppable force that is the mutations of the English language, I may still have a chance.

All very well to argue about Semintics (my gut tells me thats a real word) but the issue at the core of the argument is -
Why, in this particular day and age, is prejudice against Arabs relatively acceptable, and prejudice against Jews the most heinous crime imaginable? |

Haven't you yet grasped that veiwing Arabs with anything less than utter contempt can only mean one thing: that you are a raving dyed-in-the-wool Jew-hating neo-nazi? Apparantly you have to choose. |

I don't think prejudice against Arabs IS acceptable and I'm not sure if that was the "core" of the argument; perhaps an aspect.
I'd wager the crux of his point was that Jews (and by extension [obviously] white society) have usurped a word and he wants it back.

See what I mean? The gays have taken over eslcafe!!!
Now I can't even write, "Hmm.... there is an elephant reciting Nieztsche riding a bike down the street. That is really queer". And what other word could I use? |
