I've got my self in a bit of a fix. I start full time on monday and have a chunk of NZ dollars I need to change. Are any of the Itaewon money changes open on saturday? If so, can anyone recommend a good one? Thanks

can't recommend a good one, but there are a handful around itaewon station. i hesitate to even mention it, but money at a slightly disadvantageous exchange rate is better than none at all. you can find them in other places around the city too, but they're not nearly as concentrated. in fact, some are downright difficult to find. jongno and myeongdong might be two places to check.

There are a couple at Dongdaemun Stadium station. Exit 12 or 13 and walk toward the National Medical Center. It will be on your right. The money changers are on the left before you get to the NMC.

Anyone know if the COEX mall air terminal is open and exchanges any money on weekends? Well, there is a phone number on this page. See here:

that place charges a whopping 30% !!

I started to change some there once and when I looked at their rate I took back my money and said NO F*KING WAY !!

if someone wants to complain about something - this is the kind of thing that really gets me in a pisser of a mood!
