Or after a night of drinking soju for $10 a gallon, you can get a small box of fried chicken that is mostly bones for $15. And they throw in a small plastic container of pickled turnip chunks for free!

I like when I am running on the river and people are running in the wrong lane towards me, thinking I am going to move out of their way. I just charge them and they freak out and jump. Back home that would never happen. You would get shot. Luckily, guns are illegal here. That's another thing I like. I can actually walk into a public place knowing that I don't have to even worry about getting shot for no reason. Back home you never know when or where another shooting is going to occur.

-restaurants are open really, really late or 24 hours. In my US hometown, everything closed at like...9.
-Bibimbap is really cheap.
-it's a LOT safer than where I went to college.
-overall, a lot of the foreigners are friendly if not the type of people I want to become super close with. It's nice just running into tons of "friend" acquaintances while out. Although I went to Itaewon last night and it really made me hate foreigners. To the bald, fat jackass who thought I was another Korean and was taunting me with, "Oh, teach me Englishee--I speak Englishee" after I turned you down because you were DISGUSTING: f*ck off.

The Crane Games. If you can FIND one that you can win with decent prizes; gun lighters, table lighters, knives, toys made from spent AK47 ammo, etc. A friend of ours is a gun smith and he couldn't believe the stuff we won in those games(we won a lot). We found that even the "booby" prizes(cig. lighters easiest to win) cost upwards of 10-20 k won in Itaewon.

That to me was bliss in Korea.

I don't know about you, but for me it's the minimal amount of black and spanish people.

Oh yea and the gun thing. In the US, you can get shot at school, here guns are almost non-existant.

The bad, lack of and strict regulations of drugs.

You MUST be writing that as a joke, because only a complete moron would post such a disgraceful, racist comment on this forum and expect others to agree.

Best thing in Korea:

Starcraft Tournaments on Television.

Also, the kids here are more innocent. Here they might try to sneak a cigarette before school if they're bad ass. In the USA they snort a line of coke in the bathroom.

Back home I always wanted to go to Japan, BUT it was like an 11 hour flight. Now that I'm in Korea I can get to Japan in only one hour. Thanks to my Korean experience I've been able to go to Japan 9 times, and I'm going again in April.
The best thing about Korea, It's close to Japan!

Still you don't want to work in Japan, what's that ??
Oh, well, I heard that Japanese people treat ESL teachers like WHITE TRASH Laughing

I saw ESL teachers in Japan - they are treated with ignorance - people usually ignore them. Lot's of them are hippy looking and acting and would drink beer near the store that was bought in - not my type of fun.
However, they do have fun, hang out and easily have fun with Jap girls....so MissSeoul - you are mistaken.

And if you ask Japanese girls " why do you want to learn English ? " they will say " we want to marry westerners ", that's what I heard from some westerners.
I NEVER like any women who act like that cheap, sorry, but that's just me.

Get on the phone and call your fellow shemale over to give you some lovin, you sick freak

What are things I like about Korea? That's a good question. I like the subway system. I like how they are expanding the lines to reduce congestion. I like that there are many attractive Korean females out there. I also like how the students are generally well-behaved and care about learning. I like the KTX. There are some Korean dishes I like.
I like the volunteers at Sukmyung University who are teaching me some Korean. I appreciate their efforts.
