| i'm more interested in the secret listening party of "the council of nicaea - the lost tapes" at a soon-to-be-disclosed supersecret bunker underneath dongdaemun. |

I went. It's a scam. They have mere fragments of the actual scroll. They have replicas which span 10 meters long. Even the storage containers are replicas. 9/10's of the entire exhibit are bits and pieces of excavated artifacts from Jesus' time - which are worthless because there are 10's of millions of similar fragments on the market, in museums and owned by collectors, tourists and others.
I say it's a scam because the Korean herald article (or seoul times, i forget) led readers to believe the actual scroll was at the museum - again, only a mere fragment a few inches long.

| That's bad journalism, not an actual scam. |

I knew it had to be a scam. There was a similar display of "precious King Tut artifacts" in my hometown once.
Stupid plastic/painted replicas. What a joke.

Darashii,
get real. You haven't even read the article. The Korean Herald (or seoultimes) piece I mentioned purposely misleads people into thinking large "sections" of the scroll are here.
I went to the exhibit the 2nd day it was featured in korea. I went with my korean girlfriend.
I recommend you go if you are interested in seeing more carvings and mini statues that you've seen in every other ancient middle east (Egypt, meso, etc) exhibit in every other museum on earth. You can buy these mini carvings for $20 because the market is over saturated with them. People carved back then because there weren't any universities. It's like living in the year 2200 and going to a 20th century museum to see car tires. |
