Does anyone know of any online master's degrees in English Literature?

I have been searching but nothing has come up. I would think there must be a progressive and respected school out there somewhere.

Indiana Univ.

http://www.indiana.edu/~grdschl/degrees.html#E

Though this link is not the distance learning site, the school does have one in English.

Shoosh,

Wouldnt you need access to a comprehensive library with current academic journals?

Quick question:

Did you do your BA in English Literature?

If so, why for the love of God would you do a masters in it?

I did my BA in English Literature.
I want to teach in a university back in Canada. That's why I want an MA and then a PhD. I don't want to study that long in Canada or somewhere else. (I want to keep working in Korea if possible).
I think a library would be useful, but for my interests not necessary. Of course this is why I might not be able to find a school. Probably my main problem is I never feel I should follow what a school wants. My thinking is very focused and narrow in scope.

Good luck with it. I am curious if those universities back home will recognize a degree where you weren't in an academic environment when you achieved it.

Also the other guy is right, I did my BA in English Lit and I needed the resources of my school library...where are those types of resources in Korea?

Why? I got burned out of Literature, so that is why I am asking.

I would say 90% of my university courses were English courses...so perhaps I went over kill?

That might have something to do with it-I started out in History, jumped to a Double Major. If I had not toploaded with History, I would have gotten an English degree.

Its time for Kevin Gildea to move on to greener pastures

Ahh sounds sweet. I should have done history instead.

Hey btw did you ever take Japanese History with...Jacob Kovalio?

That guy was one of the hardest markers of an essay I ever had. Was a very interesting course but I think he marked way too hard.

No.

My one true love during uni took it as did her brother.

After second year, I was a cheap ho selling out for material I liked and high marks.

I have been thinking about doing some distant papers towards my honours, and seeing how it goes. But it is hard to find interesting papers that are offered extramurally. The really good ones, never seem to be extramural. It shouldn't matter how close you are to a library, because if you are using a decent academic institution (which you would be retarded not to) they should have an excellent library system. And photocopy journal articles you need, etc. that is why happened for me when i did a few extramural papers.

You want to know what is funny, when I took his class, everyone failed the final exam so horrendously that he had to curve it bad.

I think I ended up scoring a B on it, which would have been impossible with the types of questions he asked.

He definately sucked arse. 10yrs later he is still at it too. Pretty sad.

Also funny is every class I thought I was going to bomb, I ended up doing really well at, and those I thought I would kick butt in, I bombed. I don't know if I have faith in the university "curve" system vs. the TA marking system.

I got a B- on it. Every other freaking English lit class was A or A-. That, and the guy was always wearing black clothes, like he was trying to be some cool nihilist but he came across as borderline depressive suicide watch.

The fact that he only has his MA and no talent makes it worse. Unfortunately, he teaches the first year World Literature course-welcome to the wonderful world of postsecondary education!

I got my highest marks in classes without any TA's.
