NY governor linked to prostitution ring
NEW YORK - Gov. Eliot Spitzer, the crusading politician who built his career on rooting out corruption, apologized Monday after allegations surfaced that he paid thousands of dollars for a high-end call girl. He did not elaborate on the scandal, which drew calls for his resignation.

It looks like the Republican hypocritical about sex disease is spreading. It's too bad. He had a promising future in politics. Had. |

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.
In the end, its about not about politics, its about whether what he did was right, or wrong. |

Hey...
At least the Democrats have sex with women. They aren't trying to seduce young boys via email or pick up gay lovers in airport bathrooms. |

I'm very curious what a $1,000 an hour woman looks like. As far as I know, I've never seen one. |

It's interesting how the prices in frivolous, high-end (no pun intended) commodities are untethered to supply and demand. Women will pay $5000 for a designer handbag rather than $500 for one that looks exactly the same but was made in China instead of Italy. Why? Because the $5000 one is "real". (Never mind that the materials and design are identical in many cases.) There are psychological factors at work, what Veblen called "conspicuous consumption" -- on some level, the commodity is sought after because it's expensive. Counterintuitive but true.
Oh, and brace yourself, but supposedly the highest-priced women at the Emperors Club cost $5500/hr. |

Famous Democrats:
"...In 1990, the House voted to reprimand (Barney) Frank (Dem. MA)when it was revealed that Steve Gobie, a male escort whom Frank had befriended after hiring him through a personal advertisement, claimed to have conducted an escort service from Frank's apartment when he was not at home. Frank had dismissed Gobie earlier that year and reported the incident to the House Ethics Committee after learning of Gobie's activities. After an investigation, the House Ethics Committee found no evidence that Frank had known of or been involved in the alleged illegal activity. Regarding Gobie's more scandalous claims the report by the Ethics Committee concluded, "In numerous instances where an assertion made by Mr. Gobie (either publicly or during his Committee deposition) was investigated for accuracy, the assertion was contradicted by third-party sworn testimony or other evidence of Mr. Gobie himself."
The New York Times reported on July 20, 1990 that the House Ethics Committee recommended "that Representative Barney Frank receive a formal reprimand from the House for his relationship with a male prostitute." ..."

Another famous Democrat:
"Gerry Eastman Studds (May 12, 1937 October 14, 2006) (pronounced /ˈɡɛri/) was an American Democratic Congressman from Massachusetts who served from 1973 until 1997. He was the first openly gay national politician in the U.S. In 1983 he was censured by the House of Representatives after he admitted to having had an affair with a 17-year-old page in 1973."

We need to compensate for your short memory span?
I apologize for your mediocrity in understanding political scandal.
I ain't defending the Republicans pervs I am merely pointing out your hypocrisy and outright misrepresentation of facts.
I might also point out and if you put a little bit of effort into researching your statement before you put your foot in your mouth you would have discovered that the Hypocrite Congressman Craig was one of Barney Franks chief accusers. |

Umm... Pardon me, Mr. Uptight, for making a joke. I don't know if you noticed the little smiley face at the end of the statement. But, if you want to, you can take it personally all you want. I hereby pledge to lose no sleep. |
