I finally saw No Country for Old Men and was pretty happy I did.

Onto the next film. Is There Will Be Blood playing anywhere in Seoul. I'm guessing it has a translated title, and I don't know what that is, so I can't ask my gf to find it. Any ideas??

By the way, when I was home, there was a lot of talk about the film The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (Le Scaphandre et le papillon). I just figured out it's playing at CQN in Myeong-Dong. However, it is in French... so if you don't speak French, don't bother I guess. But it's supposed to be very good.

I thought There Will Be Blood had a lot of great parts that didn't quite add up to a great movie. Gorgeous cinematography, great supporting cast, interesting score, but Daniel Day Lewis's acting was very good in a way that drew me out of the movie to appreciate the parts, instead of drawing me in.

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly was amazing, really. The dullest most depressing sounding plot, the most horrific scene I've ever seen on film, and yet it managed to be uplifting and funny

Can someone tell me which theaters TWBB is playing in? I worship PTA and am traveling from Gwangju just to see it. I know it's playing in Gwangbeong, at CVG, but I'd prefer Megabox... I think the screens are bigger. Anyone know what specific Megabox theaters it's playing in??

Agreed. I think a movie like "The Claim" achieved a lot more with a lot less fanfare.

Where is Gwangbeong? Do you mean Gangbyeon?

Anyway, does anybody know where it's playing. Thanks for the reviews and all, but I'd still like to see it for myself.

Yea, I think I meant Gangbyeon... it's a theater on the tenth (I think) floor of like a shopping mall/technology superstore kind of joint.

Anyone know what Megabox theater it's playing in??

I just had a look at the Gangbyeon CGV website and it is playing there three times a day.

Korean name is 데어 윌 비 블러드 if you're interested.

http://megabox.co.kr/

I'm new and don't read Korean... can anyone tell me what time of day (not so important) and which theater/subway stop is playing There Will Be Blood??

I know it's playing at CGV, but I think this theater has bigger screens (and better seats, which comes into play for a two and a half hour flick).

Looks like it's playing at the COEX theater. That's at Samseong Station on Line 2 in SE Seoul. It only has listings for that film until this Friday, so I'm not sure if they'll be showing it beyond then. You might want to ask a coworker to call them.

Uh-oh... I was planning on going up to Seoul pretty much to see it (on Friday).

Do you mean the Coex Mall?? I actually know where that is... and it's on the same line as Gangbyeon, so hopefully at least one of those theaters is still showing it.
