5th and 12 are national holidays. My school said the 6th and 7th are school holidays. But I was not told about the 8th and 9th.

i've been told may 1/2 are holidays for the kids - but NOT for public school teachers, we're expected at school - and may 5 is just your regular old national holiday. that's it.

Mine, at the start of the semester, had a field trip-fortunately I was not obligated to go-only if it was during regular school days.

Yikes, I'd better go check with my chief waegook-handler and then hopefully see what tickets are available for the Philippines.
