So... if you have been issued an E2 visa since 15 December 2007, and went through the CRC, interview in your home country, drug tests, etc, etc, but then you get to Korea and it doesn't work out with your job....
What are the rules?
Can you get a letter of release and go to a new school like before?
Or are you supposed to go home to get another visa? |

Apparently Immigration is adhering pretty strictly to the 10-month rule for changes of workplace. That is to say, if you are not at least 10 months into your contract and visa, they will not process a change of workplace�even with a letter of release. You will need to go through the visa process again.
Several posters have indicated that Immigration is willing to relax this rule for people transferring to public schools. Obviously, this makes public school a much more attractive option for those trying to transfer before the 10 month mark. |
