yes, i really do like polls.... but i'm also curious to know who has their own office

(sorry, just options for public schools and unis...i'm assuming hagwons don't give out single offices to FTs)

University

shared with two other teachers. We each have a desk and shelving and a cabinet that locks. In the office we have a fridge/freezer and coffee maker provided by the school. The three of us went in together and got a water cooler with 20L jugs.

Somehow didn't get the option to check the OP's poll, but, yes, I have my own office. I work at a university.

So just to make sure:

SuperHero, you checked, 'NO'?

The poll question asks if we have our own personal office. If someone has already interpreted the question to mean having an office with personal space, the poll is already a bust.

I have my own office. We all get our own office, just like the full-time Korean profs do. Believe it or not, the part-time Koreans do not get one. It's a nice size, too. About 8 to 9 pyong with a sink. I have a fridge, and a computer was provided. I had a microwave, but my wife wanted it back. I have a treadmill (mine) in there, too. hah

I had a spare classroom last year that served as an office. This year, they needed extra classroom space, so now I am stuck in the main meeting room....in front of the vice-principal's desk.

Needless to say, I am not very happy with this situation.

Well, I have my own classroom with a computer, so when I'm not actually teaching it's kind of an office. Does that count? This is a privately owned public school, and I had that same deal at the hagwon I worked at before this job.

At the hagwon I only taught 12 hours a week, so it was definitely more office than classroom.

I'm the first FT at my school and since I don't have my own classroom (the classrooms belong to my co-teachers) they set up an office for me with a computer with internet access.

I can't complain, it's almost as big as my officetel and it's heated.

I do feel bad about having my own office and I always invite teachers to come in and talk/have tea with me.

The school even set up a student cleaning crew for the office as well.
