Steve,
I only wish Ferraro had run her mouth about 10 days ago or the thing with Spitzer would have come out then, then Clinton would have been toast in Ohio. As it is, she has plenty of time to try to bury these stories in the next six weeks, which worries me.
Given how stupid people were to re-elect Bush in 2004, maybe they are stupid enough to let Hillary be the Democratic nominee or worse the president. |

I have some good friends who support Obama. But, I do not respect every Obambite.
Those who call Hillary supporters stupid, a huge generalization, show they have the limited intellectual curiosity of George Bush, and the limited intellectual capacity of Douglas Feith. |

False. He's done absolutely nothing to focus on his color, and his support is not skewed towards blacks at all. He's winning on his policies, vision, and charisma. Now I know you hate that, and a black man being president is going to make your tiny little world come crashing down around you, but you're just going to have to suck it up and be a big boy about it.
By the way, no one says "negro" anymore unless they are profoundly ignorant, or deeply racist, or both. |

I agree with that statement, except for 'the policies.' He and Clinton have basically the same policies.
Also, he needs to avoid focusing on color to attract whites. But he need not focus on color to attract blacks. His support is skewed black, though, as he won 8-10 blacks in OH and 9-10 blacks in MS. The problem of racism that Obama is dealing with right now comes from Hispanics and perhaps Asians. |

Please reread my post, I said the voters were stupid for re-electing Bush, not Hillary supporters. When you accuse me of something, at least put it in the correct context.

| Shouldn't that really be "if he were a white man" not "was"? |

If you don't think looks matter in Politics, you are very naive.
Barack is light skinned, half-black man and handsome, this may help him! I believe that he would have a harder time if he were all black or all white. The country really needs some unity after the Bush-Clinton years and person that is of mixed race can really sell that message.
I believe that most Americans treat people of mixed race very well, especially better when compared to many other countries. This is a good thing. If we were to elect Barack it would show America as an enlightened nation and that could really help to repair our reputation in the world.
(Disclaimer) I am sure that not everyone of mixed race is treated well, especially in the south, but in my hometown it was very very kool to be mixed (Asian-white, Black-white but not so much Black-Hispanic though). |

Oh no! He divorced and married a younger woman.
Who'd have thunk it?
Seriously, wealthy/powerful/high status older men do this all the time. It's hardly relevant to his run at the presidency |

As a woman, I feel that Ferraro needs to get kicked in the ovaries. Repeatedly.
Ugh, so very many morons in the U.S. Political matrix. But, this is true of any other type of job, I suppose.

It goes to character and family values. It's a weakness for a presidential hopeful to have a divorce. A younger new wife is not a problem, but her being seriously wealthy doesn't look good either. |

| On the list of stress factors in relationships they say that "marriage is about equally as stress full as a divorce" |
