Oh no! He divorced and married a younger woman. Shocked

Who'd have thunk it?

Seriously, wealthy/powerful/high status older men do this all the time. It's hardly relevant to his run at the presidency

It goes to character and family values. It's a weakness for a presidential hopeful to have a divorce. A younger new wife is not a problem, but her being seriously wealthy doesn't look good either.

So every divorced person has a weak character and poor family values...just what are you saying? If that is not what you are saying then it doesn't really go "to character and family values" at all does it?

As for a weakness it was also considered a weakness for a president to be Catholic...and we all know how that went...

As for her being seriously wealthy, so what? Should the wealthy only marry among each other?

If you dislike McCain that's one thing. But these are really weak reasons to deny someone his run at the presidency and it would seem that the majority of Republicans agree as well.

I'm afraid you will have to explain this one.

Are you insinuating that John McCain fired the Missile that caused the fire?

What is your direct accusation of McCain wrong doing in the Forrestal Incident?

Do you have direct evidence?

Do you have a different account of the Forrestal?

I have never heard anyone raise any accusations against McCain in regards to the Forrestal until now.

You must know something that no one else does please enlighten us.

"...Lieutenant Commander, McCain was almost killed in action on July 29,
1967, while serving on Forrestal, operating in the Gulf of Tonkin. He was
at the epicenter of the Forrestal fire, when a rocket accidentally fired
across the carrier's deck and hit planes, including McCain's which had
been waiting to launch. McCain escaped from his burning jet and was
trying to help another pilot escape when a bomb exploded; McCain was
struck in the legs and chest by shrapnel."

Edited to correct a typo

I am still calling on mistermasan to put up the evidence here.

To so boldly besmirch the character of a man who was willing to sacrificed
his life, who sacrificed much more than you ever could.

What role did John McCain play in the Forrestal disaster that you feel he
should have been court marshaled for?

Back up your words mistermasan or apologize for your misunderstanding
of historical fact.

By his own admission, MisterMasan is a University of Hawaii graduate. Ten to one says he a local Japnee who hates all haoles, especially those with a military background. Short of that, he's likely been deluded by all the washed up radicals on the faculty there.

So, bruddah, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting. His accusatory posts on this board are, metaphorically speaking, equivalent to the Japanese midget sub infiltration of O'ahu during the Pacific War.
