| Recessive traits emerged through evolution. I find toleration if not downright celebration of homosexuality and lack of toleration, hysteria, big government towards incest irrational and indecent. |

| Would you mind re-writing that second sentence? I don't know what you are trying to say. |

| I think some studies were done that cousin incest leads to some wierd shit in the short term but actually helps clean the nastier stuff out of the gene pool in the long term (since all of the nasty recessive stuff actually becomes part of people's phenotype and gets bred out rather than sticking around as a recessive gene that can't be selected against). That is, unless the people with wierd phenotypes manage to breed... |

Well, I re-read the sentence and like it fine, but sure, I'll rephrase.
Consensual homosexual relationships recieve toleration (largely), sometimes outright admiration. Women think gay, camp guys are just endlessly fascinating and anyone Left of loony Right has no problem with homosexuality. Me too, since I'm a Left Wing conservative. Or a Right Wing liberal.
Consensual incestuous relationships recieve fear, hysteria and big government telling people what to do with their bodies, lives and decisions.
Both are evolutionary dead-ends and the toleration of one and fear and hysteria about the other is based on arbitrary, incoherent, erroneous ethics in my opinion. So long as a consensual incestuous couple derive happiness from the relationship, so long as no harm comes as a result, so long as they are careful, how can big government and public opinion possibly believe that preventing them making this decision with their own bodies and lives is a proper, decent thing to do? |
