If you could add one item to the supermarkets (your local supermarket, costco doesn't count) in korea what would it be?

for me it would be fresh "western" herbs- basil, coriander (cilantro for NAs) thyme, rosmary, sage, dill, etc

so what about you?

Cottage cheese. Can't find it at E-mart or Homever (but maybe I'm not looking hard enough).

Old Dutch potato chips. (Salt and Vinegar, ketchup, Jalepeno, Taco, Nacho, dill pickel). Also chip dip (onion, bacon, can't remember the other flavours).

Coffee. Just your run of the mill, $8-10 big ol' tin of coffee like you'd find in any supermarket back home. The Home Plus a twenty-minute walk away has a small selection of expensive stuff that not even I could justify paying for. I ended up buying a pouch for about 20,000 won, and that was the cheap stuff and will last me about a month. The other kinds were, like, $20 or $30 for what'd amount to a week's worth. The grocery store in front of my apartment only sells instant coffee. Two rows of instant coffee.

Costco sells 3 pound tins of coffee, 100% Columbian, for 10,000 won. It's good.

My brain says the same. My stomach says Ben and Jerry's Half Baked ice cream. When I first got here it was available in Korea. Not anymore. Sad

BTW you can get cottage cheese at black market shops. But be prepared to pay 7,000 won for a litre of it.

Micro-brews. The imports you can get here are good, but I miss The Beer Store in Canada, where you've got all kinds of fun stuff to try. There's some awesome micro-brews from Quebec that I really miss.

Jell-O no bake cheesecake mix. Please tell me where there's an alternative. Only milk (for the filling) and butter (for the crust) needed...both of which they amazingly have here!

Ever since the Beastie Boys released "Boomin' Granny," I've loved looking at old, fat ass American and Mexican women in the Southern use bending over at the checkout line reaching for their dropped coupons.

I'd add some of those.

Yes, cottage cheese! That's one of my main sources of protein as a vegetarian.
