This saves something like 2-3% of energy costs a year. That's billions of dollars. And, its nice to have light out at 9pm during June.

Actually, the latest study shows this isn't true.

Even country like Korea provide basic medical coverage for all their citizen, but why America can't do that ???

2, The law say if you didn't born in the land of Uncle Sam, you can't become a U.S president even if you are an American citizen, is this mean that children who were born in German/or any another countries while their Armed Forced parent stationed in German/or any another countries can't become a president of America ???

Same time children of illegale Mexican who were born in America can become a future president of America, is that fair ???

3, What is the purpose of day light saving ?
24 hours a day doesn't go anywhere, it's still 24 hour a day, the day light saving only bring confusing. I've heard the purpose of day light saving is energy saving, but what energy saving we are talking about ?
Guys can drink a longer hour at bars ???? That's energy saving ???

4, Why so many black folk sit at porch ouside their house even hot summer ? You don't see these kind things at white neighborhood, but you see many black folk sit outside their house even hot summer, is that better than sit inside with airconditioner ???

5, Why they call National Holiday as Federal Holiday and except Federal employees/Federal Government everybody/every business have to work/ open. So National Holiday is just for federal employees ???
I know all school kids have to go shool on National Holiday, why ????

6, Why so many American who graduate at least highschool often make spelling mistakes, even many college graduates make spelling mistakes,
English is handicaped language ???

There are many more, but today it's enough Laughing

1. Not sure about this one. Most people would prefer nationalized healthcare, but some fear that it would make us commies.

2. This is an old law which was made so that foreign countries couldn't have control over us. If 200 years ago, an English president was elected, we would again be controlled by England.

3. to confuse the rest of the world.

4. It's nice to sit outside during the summer. I think you may just be trolling here, though.

5. I think most students have the day off for national holidays. I never went to school for labor day, veterans day, memorial day, etc... Businesses are still open, just like they are here.

6. This is probably a combination of laziness and the insanity of the English language. In languages like Spanish and Italian, if you hear a new word, you'll probably be able to spell it correctly. English has so many arbitrary spelling rules that it's easy to misspell words. In Spanish for example,
a = 아 and nothing else. In English, however, a = 아,애, 에이, and 어.

Huh. I wonder if that has anything to do with Indiana specifically, since the study was confined to counties in that state. The weather in Indiana is largely temperate. Also, I know Indiana is one of the most environmentally negligent states in the US (on the bottom of the worst 10 states). I wonder if wastefulness plays a part?

I think Indiana gets so much attention on the issue of DST because it was the most resistant. At one time, Indiana allowed each county (or was it city?) to decide for itself. Sheer chaos.

On a related but irrelevant note, I'm sure everyone appreciates that it was the railroads who 'invented' standard time. Until then, time was a rather slip-shod affair and the trains couldn't run 'on time' because no one agreed as to what time it was.

The real question to ask is:

Is Missseouls Racism based in Ignorance or Arrogance?

This was obviously just to get a reaction, but I don't mind indulging a little.

The reason no one can spell in English is because it's not a phonetic language and the spellings of words are seemingly arbitrary. It's not worth remembering when you can just check it on the computer.

That's right.

No, it is not.

There are 100 reasons for it, 3 against. It's math.

Lots of Koreans sit outside doing nothing all day, wandering around. Ask them, and you will have your answer.

It is all in the wording.

1. Yes, we need this. I haven't been insured for almost 10 years.

2. If you are born to U.S. citizens, you are a born citizen, and are eligible for the Presidency, provided that at least one of your ancesters has already held that post.

3. You must have lived in the southern portion of the country. Trust me, up towards Canada, it really sucks when it gets dark out at 3pm.

4. Dunno. This is probably cultural, but also maybe all those black people are too poor to afford to A.C. their houses?

5. Because we have a mentality that the Feds can't tell people what to do with their businesses. Also, companies hate closing, because they lose money. This is particularly true for retail establishments, because all of the government employees are out trying to buy things on their days off.

6. Either you can spell or you can't. It was discovered a few years ago that some people are simply able to learn to spell well, and some people will never spell well. The real question here is: why can so many college graduates not write a decent thesis?

korea has 49 million people vs the 300million people in the US.
there are government type insurances, but many doctors don't accept them.
even though korea provides insurance, the fees are probably being taken from the person's paycheck.

i dunno if they can be president or not. they probably could be, because the US bases are a part of america and under US law.

mexico isn't the only country that sends illegal immigrants to the US. and if the kid is born in the US, then they are americans.
if they want to run for president, i'm not going to stop them.

energy in the form of electricity.

i've never seen black people sitting outside on a porch, ever.
i have however, seen plently of rich white people do this. especially university students. and, *gasp* they take the couch onto the porch!
oh, and not everyone has an air conditioner.
and where do you live?

i think that you should take a look at the numerous spelling mistakes that you've made in your post before trying to call others out on spelling mistakes.

1. Most jobs offer health insurance of one form or another. I don't want to pay taxes to cover lazy people. Us rich folk don't care about poor people, it's true. I need money for my next BMW! If people learned to manage their money properly this wouldn't be an issue at all. If health insurance is important to them, they would buy it.

5. Businesses stay open for profit, it's not required.

1. What wannago said. I conservitify with the right-wingificators,
but we've gotta bust a move in this area.

2. As pointed out, I don't think that's correct.

3. For me, it's always been an excuse to be late one day of the year.

4. If I had a front porch, I'd be out there now.
We're seriously considering a bench or covered swing out front, though. I'm as whitebread Texan as can be.
I think what you are seeing is larger families in smaller homes in more crowded neighborhoods. Likely an optical illusion.

5. Partly workaholics. Retailers having customers with a free day to shop. Keep the kids in school so mall rats don't bother said customers.
Government employees deserve the time off.

6. Not a problem with the language, dear. It's just not phonetic. We use words we've never seen in print.
And some people are just stoopid.
