				| The kids are at a very high level of ability. They are better with English than my students at the Chinese university I worked at for two years prior to here. Supposedly this school has the best of the best from this province, which after meeting my students I believe it. Some of the students have lived abroad and speak almost like native high school students. Unfortunately, the other teacher never came, so I am also teaching the same bunch of kids writing. Ive realized that teaching upper level student is much more difficult than teaching the lower level ones
Thanks to everyone for the advice.

I was wondering myself, though I'm fairly sure that it's nothing that would be appropriate for a male teacher to discuss with a bunch of 17-18-year-old girls.

I've just brought this book myself and am going to start using it today. It looks really good. Broad selection of activities that include the usual dialogues etc, but there's also simple grammar activities and pronunciation tasks.

Comes with a audio CD and only cost 12,000 Won.

This English Communication book, where can I get a copy? Thanks.

I picked up mine in Kyobo bookstore, Daegu about 3-weeks ago.

I would've posted an Amazon link up, but it's not listed.

				| Kyobo bookstore in Gangnam (10 minute walk from Gangnam station exit 6) is newer, less congested, and easier to shop at than the Ganghwamun branch.
Another good place for teaching materials is Youngpoong Bookstore at the Express bus terminal station/Central City. Their upper-level English teaching materials are on the second floor.

I've also found it useful - and worth it - to pay (I think $18 a year) for supplemental materials from www.handoutsonline.

				| I really think these students could benefit "amazingly" through online content. That is what drives and gives multi modal learning and thus, success when teaching very diverse, higher level learners.
Take a look at the voicethreads on EFL Classroom 2.0 http://eflclassroom.ning.com See a few of ours on our account at http://voicethread.com/#u3968

Create some of your own and get students responding orally. Use such technology as yackpack for listening / responding and real time discussions. Try social netoworking and making an English networking site for them. Try "bots" , robots that respond with language to the students. Amazes them! I'd also get them doing and using voice applications like Chinswing.com Create a topic and have all students respond in voice to the topic, question.

Lots more , especially get them reading audio books. This really enacts the text-voice connection . they need this input, low level input. We have tons of stories on EFL Classroom 2.0 . Also many leveled with handouts.

Cheers, good luck. YOu are luck, just inspire these kids and let them take control!

I wish I was teaching higher level students. Lower level might be easier but it's dull as heck. Want to trade?

				| "Ddeubel's" EFL Classroom 2.0 seems to have lots of good teaching materials - and I registered for it a couple weeks ago - but my school's renovation has disrupted my classroom's Internet access, so I haven't had the chance to use it yet ... | |
