It's not the morning after St. Patrick's Day. St. Patrick's Day was on Saturday.

Read carefully.

Quote:
The date of the feast is occasionally moved by church authorities when March 17 falls during Holy Week; this last happened in 1940 when Saint Patrick's Day was observed on 3 April in order to avoid it coinciding with Palm Sunday, and will happen again in 2008, when it shall be held on either March 14[2][3] or March 15.[4]

Although the religious holiday moved to Saturday, the national holiday remained March 17th.

I woke up with a severe head cold and purloined hurley bat.

It sure is fun doing conversation class when you can't talk!
