Then I take it you've never been the only American in a room full of drunk Canadians. (Redundant, I know..)

I have. I would always proclaim I was from Maine. Maritimers generally give some respect, and Western Canadians never give Americans trouble anyway.

Actually, the only Canadians that have ever been rude to me were from Ontario. Don't get me wrong, though. Some of my best friends, not to mention my girlfriend, are from Ontario. Yet, I have never had a single Canadian from any province other than Ontario give me problems, and I have friends from every province except Nunavut.

As an American, I feel some cultural connection with Canada. I dunno, maybe it was because I lived in Maine, or maybe it was because I had some Canadian friends in college. Its just hard for me to really separate the U.S. and Canada. In fact, as someone who grew up in Maryland and New England, I feel a closer connection to Canadians than Southerners (nothing against the South, though).

If some Brit or Aussie started to talk too much crap on Canada, I think I'd have to step in.

I am the opposite of Kuros, in that I'm a Canadian who feels a cultural connection to the United States. The majority of my family is now American, and the majority of my friends are American. I like the pop culture, and have been to around 25 states or so now. I admire American individualism, their amazing universities, scientific advancements, literature, music, and economic power. And the cities have so much personality when compared to most Canuck cities...Salt Lake is in the same country as New Orleans.

However, I despise Bush and the rest of the clowns. But I'm able to keep my negative feelings about Bush apart from my positive feelings about America. It would benefit most Canadians to do the same.

If you really want out of America we can show you ways to get a visa and become a citizen of Canada or even England. Wait you are becoming a lawyer and you still do not know how to do that?

Well, I am a Canadian with US citizenship. I feel a connection to the US, because I've lived there for many years. That said, I feel more of a connection with Canada having more secularism, more of a collective idea of helping each other out while having some individualism. Yes, the US has cities generally with more personality, but I would say Montreal and Vancouver have a lot of personality. It is hard to really compare a country of 35 million with one that has 300 million.

I strongly feel connected to many Americans because I lived there and carry an American passport. Frankly, if I feel my passport is disrespected somehow, I let the other party as I did recently when my passport was kept too long and the other party thought it was no big deal. I thought it was, and I said my passport is not their property and not really mine but that of the US Government. He didn't like that comment, but I don't care. You should not insult a country's flag or
treat its passport like it means nothing.

Go back. Read my post. Show me where I express any desire to emigrate to Canada.

I said I'd stick up for Canada if Brits or Aussies started to bash it. How does make me any less patriotic?

Yo, douche...

I realize you've been here a whopping total of 5 months, but saying that Kuros doesn't like the U.S. is ridiculous.

The "Love it or leave it" rule flew out the window the moment you stepped on a plane and headed to Korea, jackass.

I read what Kuros said wrong I searched all of what he said and none was anti-american. I had this mix up between Kuros and Keenan from another post. Sorry Kuros.

But as for that love it or leave it thing. If someone hates America so much and they live in America, why stay in the country? It is the same as staying in a relationship with someone you hate.

Then why don't you go back to America??? Why did you come here? You have shown your dislike for Korean people and anyhting non-American, so go the F home!!!! I am tired of having to put up with sh*t from people because of racist, backwater jerk-offs like you.

Korea is not perfect, but it would be a whole lot closer without you!!!!!!!

He doesn't know how to process what he is reading.

And we're both Americans.

Ouch.

This tells all. You are a Korean person who is racist. Judging us because we don't have yellow skin and calling us bad people shows that truly Koreans are the racist people. Many people on this forum agreed Koreans were treating Americans like crap. However, you have no guts to stand up to them.

By the way I know who you are. The WWE statement kind of gave who you are. I think people should know who you really are a Korean racist.

Stop kissing Korean @ss you love defending the Koreans who treat Americans like sh*t, support pedophile laws, and against foreign teachers organizing. Wow I hope you are not in GEPIK because at the Thursday meeting some Korean teachers set a proposal to try to eliminate foreign teachers, which may also go into effect for private schools as well (private schools have been considering the GEPIK proposal).

Sorry, I'm confused. This truthful chat guy is from America? He came to Korea to teach? Man, I would have never guessed that in a million years reading his posts. I thought for sure he was a korean just getting up to a little trolling.
