Thats true but south koreans are also blind to the reality behind the history. Especially nowadays. |

Quite a few times, actually. I have a couple of friends from there who live and work in Seoul. This is of course, after a few years in SE Asia and months of rigorous interrogation and parole--like living arrangements. |

I teach university students and use a website for them to submit their homework. The students can change their profile to indicate personal information such as email, phone, country, etc.
Not a small number of them said they live in the 'Democratic People's Republic of Korea' instead of the ROK. Wow.
South Koreans love to talk about unity, but none of them wants to pay for it. |

| Before the fall of the Berlin Wall would you have specified 'West German'? I don't think it's necessary and I'll only use 'North' if I'm talking specifically about NK, not 'South' for SK. |

Do they try to get rid of their accents or do they try and keep them? |
