Those who must clearly feel most threatened by conspiracy "theorists", investigation, discussion & discourse are
those who find themselves living with the stain of GUILT.
http://www.cuttingthroughthematrix.com/
Likely nothing more frightening to them than to have their vile misdeeds clearly revealed under the glaring lights of public scrutiny.
Hence do we find the constant need for the profusion of disinformation, subversion, infiltration & obfuscation
What a total waste

OK, so that's two eye rolls back since neither one of you can give an example.
Back to ad hominems already, I see. And on the civility thread! |

I'm sure there is one, but I just can't think of any right now.

Actually, based on this, I think he can rest his case. But I do not believe this thread was created to assuage conspiracy theorists or to attempt to reason with them in any way... |
So people who believe politicians tell the truth are nasty as well as stupid. |

Who is stupid? Very well. But I am smart enough to predict that it is inevitable that any thread that goes on long enough will eventually be hijacked by conspiracy theorists, who will do all they can to force everyone else to respond to their simplistic, either/or debates.
I could start a thread that speculated on the best way to get a Victorian-era woman into a g-string and you would eventually hijack it and make it about "them."

No, it didn't just start now, but whatever.
So let's get this on record, Gopher: you have just admitted that you believe politicians tell the truth, haven't you?

This is getting boring.
Sometimes politicians "tell the truth," and sometimes they do not. And there are all kinds of "lies" in the world human beings make. The fact that you only see "truth" and "lies" in absolutes speaks volumes, however.
You are a child. |

I can't blame you for thinking that since one must speak to you with "simplistic, either/or debates." Otherwise you muss up the topic with your verbal diarrhea, or conversely, dismiss a well-researched logical position by some epithet like "conspiracy theory." You don't really leave much choice. |

I'm finding myself in need to respond to my previous post. Oh my!
Civility is a lie.
To be civil one must check their nature and decieve thise around them.
Think about it.
Uncivilized behavior such as telling someone elses six year old that there
is no such thing as Santa is well uncivilized.
Yet upholding the lie is somehow civilized.
The old: "How do I look?" "You look wonderful."
How often is that anything but a lie but yet it is civil.
Upholding myths and bold face lies, this is civil behavior.
"Oh, what a beautiful bride."
A pretty $10,000 dress can't hide the truth ladies.
Butt ugly remains butt ugly forever.
Let's be civil. |

Civility involves being diplomatic with others, showing politeness does it not? It is not only in verbal displays where one shows courtesy, but shows good manners. I was taught that there is the idea of being well-mannered. This relativistic argument that there is no such thing as civility is a canard. If there is no such thing as civility, we would not have put the word in the dictionaries of the world. I believe the word comes from Civitas having to do with city in Latin, but you don't need to be from the city to be civil. It is showing decency, courtesy, good manners. You are confusing white lies about a dress with a general concept. |

I once knew a professional gambler at blackjack, back when I lived in Reno. He told me his greatest strength is that he can stand up and walk away from the table any time he wants, but the "house" has to keep playing against the next guy who comes along.
Sometimes the greatest sign of strength is knowing when to walk away.
I, myself, have been weak in this way far too many times ... even yesterday. Maybe tomorrow, .too. Who can say? |
