~ More people are leaving Korea
~ Not many people going to Korea to teach
~ More stringent visa restrictions to prevent people from working in Korea
~ A call to limit the number of posts on Dave's
~ A call to further filter the remaining threads on Dave's
Does this mean that us Dave's netsters will not have any means to rant and vent, or otherwise have fun on a site that has been the haven of sanity in an otherwise insane existence?
Does all this mean the end of frollicking and having fun on Dave's?
Please say it isn't so |

Do you have statistics for the first one? It seems like common sense, but besides that...?
Where'd you get numbers 3 and 4 from? |

I got PMs from several other posters saying their posts got pulled from some threads yesterday and several threads were yanked within minutes of being posted........not like that is uncommon, but they seem to be asking for things that some other posters might find redundant, but things change so fast that sometimes asking more than once can sequester someone to speak up and give out some useful info on stuff.......
remember, sometimes if something was said about a week ago could change by the time someone else goes through it themselves...............
I find the number of threads dwindling ever so slowly.......somewhat disappointing to say the least |

Repeat threads, bozo newbies, and teachers who seem to be becoming more braindead and clueless with the ages. This is one of the reasons why this board needs revamping. It's the same stuff again and again. |

I respectfully disagree. It's not what you say, but repeat threads, bozo newbies, and teachers who seem to be becoming more braindead and clueless with the ages. This is one of the reasons why this board needs revamping. It's the same stuff again and again.
I wish I was born a granddad like you. |

but...should this board be all things to all people? it is a spin-off of a business that hooks up teachers w/ schools.
maybe there simply comes a time to migrate on to other boards? there are other korea based sites. |

Over-eager newbie mods eager to prove themselves. The novelty will wear off, they will return to their refrigerators and jobs, and all will slowly regress to the vile state it once was. And then it will happen all over again whenever the mods realize that all this work for no money isn't worth their time. |

The site doesn't need revamping really. Just make the fucking search function work. |

I've found this to be a limited feature on most discussion forum software.
However, clicking on the "Search for all terms" radio button seems to go a long way to improving results. |

It really doesn't take a programming genius to make a search function work well. Makes me wonder... |
