That's a tough one to call.
Spain: I haven't seen that much of Spain, only Barcelona and the area around Malaga. Barcelona is probably my favourite European city. It's beautiful and lots of fun. Malaga was nice enough but the area around it was very overdeveloped.
Greece: I've spent a bit more time there, but almost exclusively on the Cyclades islands. I've been to Paros, Naxos, Santorini, Crete, Kos and Ios. Santorini is very beautiful but more expensive and kind of more aimed at older people. I was young (20) when I went there, so my judgment might have been a bit biased. My absolute favourite place was Ios. Nice beach and relaxed vibe. Just don't go there when the Italians get their holidays cos they're mental.
If I had to choose, I would probably go to Spain and visit some of the southern cities like Seville and Valencia. Maybe that's because I'm a bit older now and looking for something different in my holidays than what I used to. I'm sure Greece would also be great, but Spain has more appeal to me right now. Plus I like Spanish people more than the Greeks. |
