Going to Korea very soon, based in UK at the moment. The iplayer and 4od are ment to be for UK citizens only. Would these work in Korea?

Would it all depend upon what isp you are using, ie, would it not work using a connection over there.

Anyone out there use these, or would anyone be kind enough to try them out and see if they work in korea?
Thanks

I just checked the iplayer again last night; it said no access abroad no, but bbc world wide are working on it becoming available (with adverts this means , im guessing)

but yeh just get on bittorrent mate, download azureus and winrar (need to unpack a lot of online files) the internet connections in this country are v fast. I downloaded an episode of south park in about 4 minutes a couple of days ago.

I get most of my beeb on UKnova. It's a torrent site with most of the popular TV and radio shows. You can get your soaps, docu, comedies, and stuff. Pretty fast too.

basically bittorrent speed depends on a few things. if you get a file that has just come out ie a new episode of torchwood (not that i watch that) Embarassed you will find the speed is very fast (with the latest episode of southpark i got 1.5mbs download speed) the older the torrents are or if they are very big ie games at 4 gig then you will get slower download speeds. you can also try peerguardian2 this blocks all the crap sites and makes the dl speed quicker (i cant use it cus i have vista currently).

in terms of hacking i think the only fix is to find a UK proxy server, but once you connect to one of those you have no security and they could hack you if it is a dodgy proxy site. proxy servers are generally slow so you would get low dl speed anyway.
