Hi
Looking to buy a genuine leather jacket in Seoul, but have been unable to
locate where they sell them.
I prefer half decent quality, a place that wont rip me off and no knock-off stuff or whatever.
Suggestions welcome!! |

Lots of places sell genuine leather, it's just the quality of the leather you have to watch out for. If you know what you like (I have several Heine Gerick), then there are places in Itaewon (usually second floor) that have decent stuff. I'm sure others will chime in with better places shop. |

Most department stores and the Guro clothing outlet place I went to surprisingly didnt have any lether jackets. I will try Itaewon. Just a bit wary of the salesmen there on the streets outside of the shops. Does anyone the names/places of Itaewon leather jacket shops that are reasonable and dont try to rip you off ?? |

I've been there, and Im concerned about getting ripped off there as well, since the prices they give are mostly verbal and haggling is the norm. Im not too keen on what leather prices are these days either. I know whenever an old Korean man/woman sees me, prices suddenly increase. Even with a Korean, they tend to jack the prices. Some EXACT locations of worth while places would be nice to know, if anyone does |

There are a few tailors in Itaewon that will custom make leather jackets. My husband is looking for a specific style and some of them will make special patterns if you ask them. May be worth the hassle so you dont have to worry about wierd Korean styles and fits. |

I bought a very nice brown leather jacket in Itaewon for $80 and it has lasted the year without so much as a single stitch coming out. It also saved my @ss when a car pulled out of an alley right in front of me while on my motorcycle... |
