|
|
Scenario...
You are already teaching 22 hours at your uni (regular freshman classes and other overtime stuff) while at the same time trying to complete your thesis (on your research day off and on weekends) by May 23rd when
Your boss (a nice one!!) approaches you and asks you to take on an extra class during your research day/day off.
What do you do??? Do you have to say yes because she is your boss?
Or just plainly say that you already have too much to do???
aack!!

It probably depends on a variety of factors:
Distance from home to your workplace,
Time of the class,
How much prep is required, etc. |

As much as your boss does, you too have a life. You need to care and look after yourself because you're worth it and, doggoneit, people like you. |

If you can't, simply say you are not available to teach that extra class.
Don't aplogize, he will understand because I'm sure he's done the same thing himself. You will NOT be fired for refusing.
