Hey i'm looking at picking one of these up and was wondering what the general rate is for these...is it a certain amount per GB?
I don't need a huge one or anything, just figured they were cheaper here and something useful down the line so I should pick one up before I leave...
any help would be cool, thanks |

They're probably more expensive here if you're from the states. I think they were 80-90k new for a 250 gig last time I checked. |

I'd like to see TB drives come down a bit. |

I'm sure yongsan is probably way cheaper than best buy, but on the internet I've yet to see any electronics that are cheaper in Korea. |

I find if you are looking for name brand externals such as seagate, WD, or Maxtor, the US is cheaper. Hell the US has some of the newest name brand stuff that you can't find ANYWHERE in Korea.
If you want to just buy a SATA drive and put it into an external case yourself, Korea is cheaper for that.
If you are from Canada, when you weigh in on the taxes, Korea seems a bit cheaper on some of the drives like Seagate/Maxtor, but more $$$ on WD and LaCie (sp?) |

I thought the OP wanted one here, then it would be cheaper or about the same price (you have to figure in shipping charges) as the US w/out the waiting. If it doesn't matter, and you're going home soon then buy back home. They are cheaper back in the US, a little. Although, I wouldn't want that one justjohn posted a link for for free...3.5 160 starmax drive.. |

I bought a small 80gb external for 50 000 won and bought the case for 10 000 won. Very pleased with it. That was bought from the Yongsan Labyrinth, can only manage an hour in there before I start to go weird and geeky. |

Hey, the question was cheaper so I showed the cheapest. I hardly think anyone expects the cheapest items to be the best ones. |
