I've been reading everything I could find on this topic, and here's what I've concluded (doesn't mean I'm right):

If your visa is cancelled, a school can apply immediately for another visa issuance number and it will be granted, because you don't have a current unexpired visa in the immigration system.

You can ask immigration (either at your local immigration office or at immigration as you exit Korea) to cancel your visa, and they will. I asked, and they did cancel it (I was just experimenting; I'd completed my contract but the visa had a little time left.)

Thus, if your visa has been cancelled a letter of release is not necessary.

Does anyone know for sure if this is accurate or inaccurate?

So did you get another Visa?

Do you still have your Apostilled CRC?

Do you still have your Apostilled Diploma?

I think the LOR is something the new school will want. If they need a teacher ASAP, then they might let it slide.
