My understanding was that if your visa was cancelled or expired, you had 14 days to leave Korea. Several people have told me that just in the last month this rule was changed, so that now you have 30 days.

Anyone know for sure if this is true or not?

When you cancel your VISA, you have to go to immi and they will give you an exit order. I've only heard of 14 days for that, but it could be more.

When your VISA expires doesn't matter. It only matters when your ARC expires. You MUST be out of the country (ie. through immi at the airport) by 11:59 on the date your ARC expires. There is no leeway or extra time. True, you may not get fined, but you could be and it will also potentially cause problems if and when you want to get a new VISA.

My boss fired me last week for reasons beyond my control. He has given me two weeks to stay here.

I need to go to IMMI and get a G1 Visa? The closest immigration office is in Mokdong. Anyone know how to get there by subway?
