There used to be a couple of B&Qs... but Korea isn't a DIY country, so they've left and in their places now are toys r us stores..

mmmmmm... Home Depoooooooooot...

Sorry, had a man moment there for a second. I have the strongest urge to just BUILD something, ANYTHING! I bought a hammer drill from E-Mart just so I could put two holes in my wall to hang a coat rack. haha

Just wanted to resurrect this post. Needing a home depot myself now.

Homever, Emart, and Lotte mart have some hardware, but really nothing compared to what I am often looking for. I want a hardware store, not grocery and clothing store with a few screws.

OK, I know there is no big hardware store in Korea. But is there maybe a section of Dongdaemun that has 100 little shops that together could be called a "home-depoish" type area? Anyone seen something like that?

Thanks,
Drew

My husband said to go to Chunggyecheon (you know, the river in the middle of Seoul) - apparently the hardware shops that were there before the river was recovered are still there.
