I just arrived in Mokpo a few days ago. Looking to meet some more people from the town or surrounding areas.

There is a group on facebook for all the teachers in Mokpo. You can hook up with some people in the group. They usually post meeting times and activities on the board. You can also head down to the Hadang downtown area on a Friday or Saturday and look for foreigners at New York bar or P club.

ignore Cohiba. The mods generally don't jump on thread-derailing hecklers.

There's a great foreigner community in Mokpo, and many feel the situation here is better than in Seoul. First of all, no people like Cohiba. That should be its own reason to come.
