the derrick may party was okay, and richie hawtin is coming on the 27th, but what do you do the rest of the time? its torture! although hongdae is a nice place, theres no point in me going to clubs that play nothing but cheesy house and trance. im a techno snob and thats the way it is.

and how is it that monolake is playing japan next week but jumping right over korea? hard life for me.

To the OP,
Korea blows for techno so i live in the South here. i pop on over to Japan every 2 or 3 months or so and have a good time. great fun, saw some awesome nights in Osaka and Tokyo(and 1 in Fukuoka). Maybe 2 or 3 times a year i would go to Seoul but believe it or not is quicker for me to go to japan.
While a little more expensive it is worth it.

I don't think techno heads got any business being snobs these days, it's more than just a little passe wouldn't you agree?

Cheesy house? I cant remember the last time I heard it. There is more than that to be heard in Hongdae and beyond.

Do you know this 02 site ? It's good for news about techno stuff. I like a bit myself but don't want to listen to techno every week so the seoul scene's alright for me.
