Send me a text message at 010-7745-5504 if you are interested.

I'm currently selling my Dell Inspiron 6000 for 460,000KRW. You can also take with you a 22 in. CRT TV and a set of stereo speakers with a subwoofer. I live in Mok-dong, near Paris Park.

I've been using this computer to run some calculation and typeset documents. (R and LaTeX for the tech crowd.) The next phase of this project needs tons of memory, so I'm moving over to a 64-bit quad core workstation.

Specs:

Intel Pentium M 760 (Dothan) Processor @ 2Ghz
15.4 inch 1280x800 Widescreen display on Intel 915, no dead pixels.
2GB of DDR memory @ 400 Mhz
100GB Seagate Hard drive with 8MB buffer
8x Dual Layer DVD Recorder
Front access multimedia buttons-- play, stop, ff, rw, volume, mute.
Integrated wireless networking

The chip on this computer can outperform 3 Ghz Pentium 4's that are still on sale at Yongsan these days. So this computer still has quite a bit of useful life left in it. (It will even give a Pentium D a run for it's money on single-threaded apps. lol.) So this computer is definitely able to keep up and even outperform some of today's entry-level pc's.

Two details:

1, the battery is almost done with. You can get a good hour of work done on the go, but you'd better keep it plugged in. If you buy a fresh battery, you'll get 3 hrs with wireless, or up to 4.5 hrs if you turn wireless off and turn down the brightness on the screen.

2, the plastic cover on the power chord was starting to wear out, so I duct taped it shut with bright yellow tape. I took care of that to protect the metal wiring inside, so the power brick works as good as ever.

I had Ubuntu Gutsy running with Compiz/Fusion and it works perfectly fine.

Switched back to XP and having been using it lately to playback HD video in 720p and 1080p. (Actually, in this respect it outperforms entry-level Celeron and Sempron PCs)

I'll leave a fresh install of Windows XP with Office 2007. (no license).

It's a 1280x800 15.4 inch widescreen. It runs on Intel 915 Integrated graphics.

The screen has no dead pixels.
