I don't care for Hongdae, but I might go back there if there are nice jazz clubs. Just tell me that there aren't loud annoying ex-frats who hang out there. |

More specific directions? There's like 10,000 bars in that neighbourhood haha. Is it a bar bar where you can go sit at a counter? Or is it a hof style sit with your friends kind of place? |

Hyehwa/Daehangno.
Go to the front entrance of McDonalds and to the right there is a second entrace/passageway to the back alley. Go thru the passageway, then turn right on the alley/street. Take your next left. You can see it on the right. |

I've never been to Aurra but I have gone to Moon Glow, which is owned and run by a member of Korea's first generation of jazz performers. It's a bit away from the main Hongdae thoroughfare but worth going to because it's pretty happening.

I like "All That Jazz" in Itaewon. They always have live music on the weekends.
It can be a little difficult to get a table on some nights, so it is best to go before 9. |

Aura closed last year. I haven't heard of it reopening either. |
