1. You are baby. Ego goes with Mummy, Daddy.

2. You are child. Ego goes with Mummy, starts to break off with Daddy.

3. You are older child. Ego goes with Mummy, looks towards Daddy, starts to fight with other Ego's (other children)

4. You are spotty. Ego starts to break off with Mummy, becomes angry towards Daddy. Other children reify the Ego.

5. You are horny. Girls good.

6. You need travel. Other countries good.

7. You travel. Other countries bad. America good.

8. You teacher in Korea. Korea bad.

9. Girls good, wife bad.

a point to make about point 7. What I learned when I started traveling is that not everything about America is good. In fact, I instinctively became very aware of her shortcomings.

of course, one also becomes aware of her strengths/positive attributes, so it goes both ways.

but the net effect is to quickly shed this stupid Lee Greenwood based "my country, right or wrong" dumbass attitude (which I never had anyways).

I will say that one thing I learned is that a lot of people abroad, despite living much more economically challenging and difficult lives tended to be a lot "happier" than a lot of people caught up in the rat race back home.

generally speaking I find that overseas, especially in Latin America and Europe people work to live rather than living to work.
