|
|
I left Korea in August 2006 after successfully completing a one-year contract.
After visiting friends and family in Florida and Texas I accepted a position with a real estate developer here in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Its been great here; Ive made a ton of money and have had some most excellent times.
But now that the US economy (our mail client source) has gone to crap, finding investors to invest internationally has become very difficult.
So Im sitting here today and it hits me: I could go back to Korea for a year or so.
Now, I dont know whether to start a job search in Seoul, or talk myself out of this idea.
I guess nothing has changed since I left. Right? |

I don't think you are at any advantage, financially, coming to Korea.
The Won is suffering just as much as the Dollar, even more so.
But then again, if your business has gone to crap, what's your choice? |

food/accom. prices have rocketed
in seoul, overcrowding on subway/traffic jams on roads..both now at critical levels.
korean media running insidious anti_foreigner fear campaign...k sheep over excited. |

Why live in Seoul? It's big, dirty and shit. I don't get this obsession with having to live in Seoul. If you want clean air live out in the countryside. There is a fair bit more to the country. |

You do realize, I hope, that Kimmi now requires anyone with previous experience teaching English in Korea who applies for an E-2 visa to have their head examined and certified sane? |
