but jesus was a devout jew.
he followed judaic laws.
so...would jesus have considered "christians" to be the judaic equivalents to pagans?
aren't christians pagans, one and all? |
Jesus was clearly a Buddhist.
While there's certainly gold to be found in the spirit of Christ's teachings, the orthodox "holy" scriptures unfortunately tend mostly just to "muddy" the waters with e.g. all-too cryptic parables.
Hmmmmm ..
One more reason not to " ... confuse the finger pointing for the moon".
Devout jew?
Perhaps a Hebrew by birth but ... "HELLO" ... he was a major re-former of the Mosaic religious laws, hence the Sanhedrin's demanding his execution.
"Ye have heard it said in the days of old ... BUT i say unto you ..."

i dunno. my jesuit brainwashing put forth that he was a slight reformer (he acknowledged rome's right to collect taxes) but what got him whacked was that he was always tweaking the priestly classes (sadducees and pharisees, IIRC).
if anything, he wanted a closer return to the principles of the old testament that what the priestly elite were calling for.
jesus' mission was to followers of the book. hence, after he departed the whole controversy as to whether gentiles could even be considered christians. in his time, jesus's followers were jews. which fo the 12 apostles wasn't a jew? st.paul, the gentile, was the basis for not a few shifts in the bedrock of proto-christianity.
a the descendant of followers of jesus and thus a crypto-jew i want to know where my "right to return" and free passport is. |

Jesuit brainwashing? Slight? Tweaking?
What's IIRC?

Also, weren't the masses bewildered by his teachings?
They'd never heard such proclamations, at least not in that part of the world ( i.e. ancient Palestine )

Paul was a gentile?
Hardly deserving of the title Saint either.
You familiar with the Jefferson Bible?

What exactly in your eyes constitutes a "crypto-jew"?
Hebrew i can swallow a little better ... "jew"?
Shakespeare ( i.e. Francis Bacon ) invented that word did he not?
Mason, have you been drinking again tonight? |
