Here is a very disturbing news clip about a man who beat the crap out of a 10 year old in Ilsan. It is all in Korean, but what happens is pretty clear. They got it all on the elevator CCTV and the apartment CCTV. Warning it is disturbing. What is even more disturbing is that according to the report that the police didn't call the lady who witnessed it, they haven't viewed the CCTV tape and they have made no effort to find the man who beat this girl. Just another reason not to trust the Korean police even one bit. Freaking disgusting.

My friend says that the news said something like: "we have something violent that we need to show you even though we don't want to. We have to show you so that we can catch this criminal." My friend says the newspeople says nothing about the police. The girl was on her way home. The lady was a 1st floor neighbor who heard the girl screaming. She went up to take care of her, and the little girl said that the man had a knife, so the woman didn't chase the man and instead took her home. At that time, the man left the building. They have no idea who is he is or what he wanted.

It's over for that guy. His face is as clear as can be. He'll be lucky if he makes it to prison without someone in the girl's family doing him in. What a son of a bitch.

Yeah, I knew something was strange about that video when they actually showed his face without blurring it out.

My bad, I guess all the inf. I gave wasn't on the newscast. The info. I posted was posted by other people about this on Korean websites according to my wife. Has you wife been reading websites and news stories about this attack? According to people on Korean websites the police didn't interview anyone but the parents and haven't gotten hold of the CCTV. According to people on websites they have made no effort to catch this man or find out who he is. That is why SBS showed his face even though the Korean media never show the face of criminals even after they have been caught. The people posting on Korean boards could be as full of BS as people on this board, but the facts are this guy is walking free and every effort should be made to catch him.

And yes I guess this is a troll as the more people know about this kind of crap and the lack of effort from the police the better. This isn't about bashing Koreans it is about the crappy effort from the police in any situation that doesn't result in death. Bad people do bad things and the police should be doing everything they can to stop them. This attack occured 3 or 4 days ago. Why is this man's face not plastered all over Ilsan? Because the police didn't care about it. SBS (I know they are rubish) ran with the story and showed the man's face in order to help catch the man. They did something the police were not willing to do.

Doesn't seem to be in the English language press.

I saw it last night on the news.

Why would TV announcers give a verbal description when there is a clear video of his face?

The only way he will get what he deserves is if someone in the family beats the hell out of him the police won't do anything.

By the way I watched the whole video and listened carefully this time. When the witness (the lady that helped) was interviewed she said the police hadn't called her or spoken to anyone but the family. She also talked about how angry she was about the lack of effort the police were putting forth in finding this guy. She also mentioned something about the tape of the crime, but I couldn't understand that. Regardless I hope they catch this guy and actually punish him. Actually it would probably be better if the Netizens caught him.

Some of you owe the OP an apology. And some of your wives need to practice their Korean.
