Ya, so before I was asking about the Ixus 70....I didn't get a lot of good feedback on it, so I didn't end up buying it, but I noticed my friend's Canon SD1000 seemed to take great pics, and it's selling for less than 200 000Won.

Keeping in Mind I don't want to spend more than 250 000 , and I really just want a point and shoot that's easy to use, small enough that it's not a pain in the butt to shove in my purse, and that takes video with sound.....does anyone have anything to say about this camera????

You do realize the the Ixus 70 and the sd1000 are the same camera, right? It's selling for about 190K.

I'd spend a little more money and get a camera that has "Image Stabilization" feature (Kr. 손떨림보정). It'll help you to take sharp pictures in low-light situations.

Ya...but one is called the Ixus and the other the SD1000!!!! Duh!!!!!
I'm asking for stylistic advice here...... What has a better ring????
"Ya, so I just bought the Ixus 70." OR "So ya, I just picked up the Canon SD1000."

Ya....I'm just trying to cover up the fact that I made a total ars of myself Embarassed

But thanks for that. Funny.

I really didn't know. But most of you all seem to think that the camera is shite anyway. So to you I'm just trying to decide between two identical piles of poop.

SD-1000!!!! Catchy!

In that case the SD1000 is at least 7.9 times better as that other crap.

That Canon is not shite by any means. It was very well-reviewed for it's time. There are newer models now. And as Seoulfinn mentioned, Image Stabalization (IS) is an important new feature.

Do you prefer size and portability to functions? I really like the Canon a720. You can get it for about 215K in Korea and it has full manual functions. However, it's a little clunkier than the Ixus series. The new ixus are really nice, but you're looking at over 300K.

The new ones I looked at didn't have a viewfinder. I prefer to have one, because sometimes it's too bright or dark to see through the screen.I like the idea of buying an older model cuz it means I can save some money.

I did look at a bunch of reviews and they all seemed to say good things about the camera. So I guess I can't really go wrong.

Thanks for your advice.
