I saw a Korean teacher at my school using the following online translator:

A little while later I decided to check it out. I was astonished by how bad it was! When you type in English and invite it to translate into Korean, it does not do too badly BUT if you write in Korean and invite it to translate into English for you...
I tried a few random sentences and here are some of the worst translations I received:
I wrote the Korean for 'I will kiss that woman as soon as I see her'.
The translation was 'I see that woman height su percentage well! the example bedspread' 
Next I wrote the Korean for 'If I receive a good translation from here, it will be a miracle'.
The tranlation was 'Me when it is good it will be translate from here and will become the steam whistle, well! the example bedspread' 
Not sure what the obsession with bedspreads is all about and for the future of English speaking in Korea, I hope no Korean English teachers are using that website for their lesson planning! |

I think I read about this bedspread thing here years ago. It's because of using the semi-formal ending "요" or "Yo". If I type that into my electronic dictionary, it comes up with: "a mattress (침대용); a sleeping pad". If I hadn't chosen the cheapest dictionary with Japanese and English I could find on the internet, it would probably have added "bedspread" too!

| Actually, the online translator might just be some kind of advanced artificial intelligence ... and it's obviously a poet. A very cryptic one. |

Yes, putting butterfly skulls on cars is becoming a big trend these days, especially among high earning Samsung and LG businessmen. |

I'm sure an online translator would be a LOT more accurate if you inputted Hanja instead of Hangul.
There are a LOT of homophones in Korean. you can't expect a computerized translator to accurately predict which meaning of the word you need in a translation.
If you could input the Hanja then you would get a VERY accurate translation in English. |
