As a poster suggested, I do know the reason for why there are so many yeogwans motels etc in Korea.
I travelled on the weekend and it struck me how in some areas there seem like hundreds of them clumped toghter. There's go to be HELL OF A LOT OF SHAGGING going on for them to be all financially viable.
A month ago I was near Seoul and was wanting to check into a motel at about 2pm. Couldn't get a room because there were too many people "taking a rest" in the words of the receptionist. hahaha....
There must be a LOT of people having affairs, younger people with no place to shag etc... |

it's a city full of termites and the love hotels/brothels/room salons are the inverted stainless steel shields.
they are getting old and rusted and the girls are pushing through now
it won't be long before anti-america turns into anti-male dominated.
all the anger needs an outlet
it's coming............... |

I went to a yeogwan (stayed in them at least 50 times) in Sinchon with my girlfriend at the time. They always ask you, short or long time. Also, they charge more for foreigners, something I didn't realize. My girlfriend told me the ajushi said that. So we left and went to another place. I waited outside for her and we went back in later. The guy tried to charge 5,000 won more for me being a foreigner. I was so anygry and he ended up letting it slide. I'm wondering if this is common practice or just in Sinchon. |
