Correct. The site is a sham.
After finding my free membership profile hit with four promising messages out of the bunch of usual scammers, I decided to buy a three-month membership and go with the flow.
Not a single one of "the four" who messaged me replied to my replies to their original messages.
My membership has run its full course back into limited non-paying member status.
Shady, shady, shady.
Avoid it at all costs. |

I get laid rather regularly from UB love girls. OK, some I wouldn't take home to meet my mom (or even my friends), but it's not a scam--other than those messages from hotties way out of your league or from Senegal. YUou just need sense enough to realize which ones they are. |

How much does it cost? Is it better than Korean cupid? I was considering signing up for that one. |

It's very much like the online casinos where when you play online for fun, with no membership or money of course, you get great hands in blackjack and find yourself up to 2 to 10 thousand dollars in 20 minutes.
Check where the sites are located: Antigua, Caymans ...
No one in their right mind should sign up and start spending their own money. Shoot, not even a dealt hand, but a computer program ...
Very, very dodgy.
Likewise, I agree that these sites you talk about can easily manipulate people into paying membership. Pretty easy to do, why not? People don't invest in anything for philanthropy. They want your money. |

Hm, tempting . . . tempting indeed.
I don't see what the big deal about paying is. How much could it cost? $25.00 a month or $16.00 for three months. That sounds like a good deal. Some people blow $25.00 drinking in one night. When I get back to Korea in a couple of weeks, I might have to try this out.
I tried that whole Match.com before, and the M/F ratio was horrible. In America the ratio is something like 4 guys for every woman. One stat said 7 guys for every 1 woman. I searched this site, and it seems that there are a lot of women compared with the men.
It's funny about the site. I was checking out what the women are looking for. I could understand wanting to date someone, but why the hell would I want to pay money to meet someone who just wants to be pen pals? Some people put "friend," too. I'm all about meeting new people, but to automatically be put in the "friend zone?" No thanks. |

Read what I wrote.
Women who messaged *me* first did not reply to my simple replies to them.
That smacks of a membership fishing campaign.
Buyers beware. |

^That's true, but what do you expect? Some guys expect to log-in at these sites and have numerous *hot* females messaging them to meet and screw... which is completely false. Can it happen? Sure. Does it happen often or a moderate amount of times? No way.
To some of the posters above, don't give some of these other (insert-word) guys false expectations, it's not nice |

Yeah, you have a point. I just saw a profile where the woman is under the "just friends" category, but in the beginning of her profile, she says that she is looking for her soul mate.
So what other good ones are there besides UB Love? I saw one Korean one (forgot the name), and you can't even browse without signing up. |

I met my wife on there.
These days, I agree it's a scam, though. I see that now they charge you a lot more, and women can't send messages for free. That's when it was good.
Inside hint: They often use their cyworld page as their ID. |
