What the hell is wrong with kids these days? One student was yelled at for standing on a chair, so 9 of them planned to knock the teacher over the side of the head with a crystal paperweight, bound her with ductape and handcuffs and then stab her.

| Violence in schools is a serious issue. In my view, it's part of the larger issue of an all-too-often violent culture. I have no solutions to suggest. |

Shudders...
Children are valued in some fighting units, because they can be more vicious than adults. They are more eager to prove themselves, and less understanding of the terrible irreversible acts of maiming or killing. They also have less empathy.
Grown fighters in some African wars fear the child fighters more than adult warriors, apparantly with good reason. |

the kids in my academy...
take great joy in stabbing each other in the leg with "sharps" (mechanical pencils).
lately they have a new game of breaking the leads off on each others faces.
when gov't school restarted a few weeks back they musta had immunizations because for about a week we were taking needles/syringes away from kids who would fill them up with water and shoot eat other. running around with syringes...joy.
ever try to take a needled syringe away from a psycho second grader who didn't want to give up his toy? don't. |
