Oh, come on. Almost in Uijeongbu? There's miles of furniture stores and second-rate outlets between here and there. Smile

Pocheon is the ass end of nowhere.

How is life? My recruiters towns me that my town's major attractions include a post office and a farmers market.

Are you going to Pocheon city? I'm there, with a couple of other native English teachers.

Pocheon has got a Home Plus and a couple of McDonalds (something bigger and nearer cities like Dongducheon, Yangju, or Uijeongbu cannot boast). I live directly on the other side of the western hills.

never been to uijeongbu? the area where i live, geumo-dong, has a homeplus with a burger king and popeye's in it, and outback, pizza hut, dunkin donuts, and scores of other places within the vicinity (if you're into that). make your way through other parts of town, and you'll find nearly every other typical western ammenity you're looking for. furthermore, it's one of the closest areas to pocheon. anyone who takes a bus to seoul from pocheon passes right through the area i'm referring to. uijeongbu is no paradise, but it certainly has plenty of modern and "western" advantages when compared to pocheon.

Whenever I talk to Koreans about Pochon they mention the Mokoli. How is it? I heard it's famous. Do you go to those folk restaurants and have Mokoli and Korean Pancakes.
