The line in the sand has been drawn.
Beattles or Stones?
G.Dead or Phish?
Dylan or Marley?
Out of the Fab 4, who was TRULY the most talented of the four (not a question of popularity, but true talent).
........just curious.

Who are G. Dead and Phish?
Marley had better hair.
Stones were cooler.
Ringo Starr as his name was ringo, which is way better than the others.
There you go, questions answered about way old music, that i never listen to. |

It's too bad you don't listen to that "way old" music. But, your opinion is your opinion.
Honestly, I was hoping for something a little more then that.

Ok I'll go with Phish because a misspelling of fish is better than greatful, which doesn't really mean anything.
I have a better question.
The Wu Tang or Public Enemy.
I know they are different eras but I'd go with the clan as they produced 2 all world mcs in ghostface and methodman. |

Yikes! OK...thank you for pointing that out.
No, I think I want to stick with the questions at hand before any hijacking takes place.
We can get to Wu Tang or Public Enemy, later.

Beatles.
Phish.
Dylan. Marley was cool too, but Dylan's body of work is immense, and his influence is immeasurable.
And, Lennon. |

beatles, hands down. they wrote better songs. it's that simple.
g.dead or phish - while both bands are about as interesting as watching old people drive, i'd give it to the dead for pioneering not only something that people try to call a genre but also touring like a MF for many years.
dylan or marley? dylan. apples and oranges though, weird comparison.
fab 4? george. could play, sing, write much better than any of the rest of those jerkies. lennon's output post-beatles, while often being good social commentary, sounded like it was played by some crap high school band doing bad covers. macartney? one word - wings. fail. ringo? fail. |

Beatles. Stones suck. Always have.
Grateful Dead or Phish? No clue, couldn't name a single song from either.
Dylan. Big time.
True talent - McCartney. The one I like best, Lennon. For a good read, check out Last Interview by David Sheff. It's the full transcript of the last interviews done with Lennon for Rolling Stone in 1980. Sheff asks Lennon who did what in terms of lyrics and music. After reading that, it's tough to argue Paul's brilliance. |

Beattles or Stones?
G.Dead or Phish?
Neither. I hate hippie music.
Dylan or Marley?
Although I wish he hadn't grown his hair out.

Lennon. Have you ever listened to Wings? |

The Beatles had the sense to call it a day before they got embarrassing like the Stones did. Beatles.
Battles haven't been around long enough to make the comparison.
Neither.
Dylan is only good when other people do his songs. Marley.

Public Enemy. Wu were fun, but they had little to say. |

beatles. tho, god damn paint it black is a fantastic song!!!
i don't like either that much, but phish's association wit neil young earns them brownie points.
dylan i guess, if u have to choose, weird category though.
most talented?? i guess probably lennon. best musician? toss up between george and paul (he can play that bass!! funkee). capable of writing the best songs?? difficult, but i'd pick george. so many of the highlights from the beatles' albums were harrisongs. |
