|
|
Hello,
Let me begin by saying: I am only asking a question. I do not have a problem in this regard.
Soon my wife and I finishing up at Pagoda and are faced with a dilema: do we leave on the earliest date possible (which is when our visas expire) or do we stay an extra 12 days until our final pay checks have been deposited into our Korean bank accounts?
Pagoda staff tell us that Pagoda is more than willing to send our final pay checks to our o/s account after we have left. So the dilema is a question of trust on our part.
Is there anybody out there THAT HAS WORKED FOR PAGODA that could tell us about their experiences?
Thanks,
Ben |

If it were me I would book the ticket for the later date.
Then ... if you finalize your affairs earlier, you can just go to the airport and fly standby - almost all airlines will let you fly earlier if there are seats available. |

Book your tickets for 14 days AFTER your visa expires.
Take the tickets to the immi office and extend your visa until then.
Wait for your cash.
If you get it early or even on-time you can leave early.
The ONLY problem with this is living arrangements. 2 weeks in a hotel can soak up a large part of what you were expecting.
As to trusting Pagoda - I wouldn't even trust a public school to do that.
I would certainly NEVER trust a hakwon (unless I knew I would be back here shortly after and would be willing to kick up a big fuss if there was a problem. |
