| I want to buy a puppy, specifically a bulldog (English/British, not French). Anyone know websites or stores at which I may find one? Thanks! |

| Go to Chungmuro and walk East towards Dongdaemun Stadium. A couple blocks down from Chungmuro is puppy central, many many shops. |

I would look at a shelter first. There are sooo many dogs that need homes here. The doggies range from puppies to adult, pure bred to mixed breed. There's a hugh shelter in Daejeon. Check it out!
www.animalrescuekorea.org
Also you can go to the "Buying/Selling" section of this forum. There's a thread specifically for pets.
Good luck! |

Um, yes, I saw several purebreed puppies at the shelter when I picked up my dog.
Please don't buy a puppy; how sad that people continue to breed dogs when there are hundreds of perfectly wonderful pets with poor genetic background that need to be rescued. |

Be very careful trying to buy a puppy in Korea. Did you see how they mentioned that germ theory passed by Korea? They don't get the concept of how touching a sick puppy followed by a healthy puppy... that doesn't get sick for 10 days, could possibly be connected.
My friend and I went to Chungmuro to buy ourselves a pair of pups. We spent $900 on two puppies. They died. The next pair they gave us died. And the one I got after that. I got back $100, he got back nothing.
It wasn't us... the pups had Parvo, and came down with it about 2 - 5 days after we got them (incubation is 10 days).
My friend gave up and went to Europe to buy a healthy pup.
Most pure-breed dogs here are weak, sickly, and inbred. |

Sure they do, shelters have a lot of pure breeds, what do you think happens to all those adorable puppies purchased on a whim that are fun for about five minutes? There was a bulldog up for adoption a few weeks ago on www.animalrescuekorea.org that was rescued from a kill shelter. A lot of the pet shop puppies are very unhealthy I would look elsewhere, especially if you are looking for a bulldog, they have more health problems than ANY other breed you will not get a healthy bulldog from a pet store.
My three all came from the Daejeon shelter, and all together we have rescue six from Daejeon, everyone of them are fantastic dogs.
