|
|
hey,
Our NHL pool is entering playoff mode this Sunday, and I'm looking for some players that might separate me from the chasing pack.
I'm pretty sure about my top order, but last year I ended up losing cause I thought Bieksa and Meszaros would continue their regular season form.
Our pool is just point, goals and assists, so I don't need guys with big PIM, hits or shutouts.
Who do you think will be this year's Todd Marchant or Sameul Pahlsson?
Does anyone think Calgary can go to the Final? Ottawa have been in crappy form recently, will they get their groove back? |

| Look at teams that have balanced scoring like Montreal. |

| Pick Red Wings, Sharks, and if they make it in, Caps. |

Pens from the east.
Koivu is out for the season so I wouldn't bet on Montreal. |

Penguins and Montreal
San Jose and Anaheim
I'll be loading up on players from those four teams.
I'm glad the leafs didn't make the playoffs or I'd be forced to choose one of their players out of my blind stupid loyalty to the old blue and white.
Go leafs go! |

Montreal have been scoring from all lines, so I don't think Koivu is a great loss, except for his leadership. I think I can leave them till late in the draft and still get a decent player.
Our pool, you must choose one and only one from each team, so obviously I want to get a good player on the teams that make it to the final.
I think Anaheim can go far, but their Goals For is one of the worst for a team winning games. Getzlaf would be a great pick, but I can probably get Pronger or Neidermeyer later on.
I fancy San Jose, and I think Thornton will be my first pick if he's still available at the time.
The Red Wings probably won't repeat the mistakes of last year, but I was thinking of grabbing Cleary or Draper in the late rounds and leave everyone else to fight over Zetterberg Datsyuk and Lidstrom.
thanks for all the advice, but what I'm really hoping for is someone with a lot more experience than me tipping a player who had a quiet regular season coming alive in the playoffs.
can't wait for some triple overtime hockey! |

| As much as I don't like them, I think people are sleeping on the Rangers. |
