Which of these bands, do you think is/was more overrated?
1. Nirvana
2. Smashing Pumpkins

| Define 'overrated'. I liked Nirvana, tried to get into Smashing Pumpkins and did, never heard Weezer. But I live in an isolated community. What are you talking about, advertising or people talking about them? |

Question, could Kurt REALLY play guitar? |
Yeah, not on the level of the guys in Soundgarden, but I think he learned as he went. Smells like Teen Spirit was almost straightforward enough to be a Ramones tune. Not that it matters much, I think the world was getting pretty tired of guitar wankers by then anyway.
What I meant is that I find it very strange that kids who were 4 and 5 when he died go on and on about him, the way people my age do about Jim Morrison or Hendrix |

Good points.
I never really thought Kurt was all that talented when it came to playing guitar. But as a song writer, he was pretty decent.
